The Notre Dame Fighting Irish women’s basketball team will begin its 2024-2025 season in November 2024. The team’s schedule has not yet been released, but it is expected to include a mix of home and away games against some of the top teams in the country. The Fighting Irish are coming off a successful 2023-2024 season, in which they finished with a record of 25-8 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The 2024-2025 season will be the first for new head coach Niele Ivey. Ivey was a standout player for the Fighting Irish from 1997 to 2001, and she helped lead the team to a national championship in 2001. She was also a member of the United States women’s basketball team that won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics.
