The 2025 Lions schedule has yet to be released, but the team is expected to play a 17-game regular season, including nine home games and eight road games. The Lions are scheduled to open the season at home against the Chicago Bears on September 7, 2025, and will close the season at home against the Green Bay Packers on January 3, 2026. The Lions will also play two preseason games at home in August 2025, and will hold their training camp at the team’s headquarters in Allen Park, Michigan.
The Lions are coming off a 9-8 season in 2022, and are looking to improve on that record in 2025. The team has made several key additions to the roster this offseason, including quarterback Jared Goff, running back Jamaal Williams, and wide receiver DJ Chark. The Lions also have a number of young players who are expected to take on bigger roles in 2025, including wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and cornerback Jeff Okudah.
