The Big Ten Basketball Tournament is the annual men’s basketball championship tournament for the Big Ten Conference. The tournament serves as a qualifying tournament for the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament.
The tournament was first held in 1905 and has been held every year since then, except for 1918 and 194345 due to World War I and World War II, respectively. The tournament has been held at a variety of venues over the years, but since 1982 it has been held at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
